Georgia is home to many servicemembers, veterans, and their families. It’s time to give back to our defenders of freedom.
Over 88,000 active duty and reserve personnel combined with over 641,000 veterans call Georgia home. With a large military presence making Georgia a powerhouse for training and readiness, it is time to give back to those who have sacrificed so much to give us the freedom that encompasses us every day.
As a military son and a Division Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, I understand first-hand the care that we must give to our servicemembers and their families. With bases like Fort Stewart, located in District 164, Fort Benning and Kings Bay Navel Station, Georgia can set the stage for showing how much we appreciate the sacrifices that come with serving this nation. As your State Representative, I will:
Give state tax credits and breaks to veterans.
Provide assistance to veterans seeking to open small businesses in Georgia.
Introduce legislation tackling health problems as a result of service related issues, including comprehensive mental healthcare for veterans.
Support up-to-date transition programs that facilitates service-to-civilian assistance, including finding career paths, seeking higher education, and providing family assistance.
